Flight Club – Wine Club Meetup

We’re pretty darn excited to have you officially join The Resistance. So naturally, instead of doing a normal wine club event like civilized adults, we decided to start things off with a little chaos. On June 1st, the Barrel Room becomes a full-blown blind tasting experience. No labels. No price tags. No wine snobs pretending they “definitely got graphite and crushed violets.” Just good wine, questionable confidence, loud opinions, and the beautiful realization that maybe you don’t actually love the expensive bottle after all. Lin is curating a lineup of wines alongside Resistance bottles — all poured blind — including a few special bottles we’re sneaking into the mix just to keep everyone humble. Some may be classics. Some may be weird. One may completely ruin your ability to identify Pinot Noir ever again. That’s the point. This is not a serious tasting. This is a: “Wait… THAT was the expensive one?” tasting. We’ll taste through everything together as a group, make our guesses, defend our terrible decisions, argue passionately over aromas nobody can actually identify, and reveal the lineup at the end once everyone has fully committed to their wrong answers. Food from The Allium will also be available throughout the evening because blind tasting on an empty stomach is how international incidents start. The Resistance Flight Club is about building the kind of wine community we actually want to hang out in: Less stiff tasting room energy. More “we accidentally stayed three hours and now we’re friends” energy.
