Comedy in Southern Oregon
Big Laughs In Southern Oregon
Southern Oregon might be known for wine, theater, and beautiful landscapes—but it’s also home to a growing comedy scene. Thanks to the Inaugural Sarcasm Festival by Story Town Ashland, our whole town was inspired to keep the laughs going.
From intimate stand-up shows in winery barrel rooms to touring comics on theater stages, the Rogue Valley is becoming a destination for live comedy.
Whether you're a local looking for a night out or a visitor exploring Ashland and Medford, there are more ways than ever to catch great stand-up, improv, and comedy events throughout the region.
The Barrel Room Mission
Our mission at The Resistance Barrel Room is to help keep bringing comics to Ashland that are actually funny.
Our Barrel Room space is the perfect hidden gem in Ashland- with great wine, a relaxed atmosphere, and a room full of laughter, it’s one of the most unique venues in Southern Oregon.
The Resistance Barrel Room
Resistance Wine Company, Ashland, Oregon
Our comedy shows bring the feel of a small club experience to Ashland. Expect sharp stand-up, touring comedians, and a lively crowd enjoying wine and wood-fired pizza.
Many of our shows are produced in partnership with Black Market Comedy, a regional comedy production group that brings live stand-up shows to Ashland, Medford, Talent, Grants Pass, and Jacksonville.
Shows are typically limited seating, which means every seat feels close to the stage—and the laughs come fast.
