Hot Wingman mulled wine recipe
Drive into how good your wingman can really be.
what you need
1 Large Navel Orange
4 cups fresh apple cider
1 (750 ml) bottle of Resistance Wingman Syrah
¼th cup liquid honey (local is best)
2 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
8 whole dried cloves
4 whole dried star anise
what to do
step one: acquire the courage (your orange). With your trusty vegetable peeler in hand, carefully peel it in twelve long strips. Try not to harvest too much of the white pith — that’s the bitter part, and we’ve already got enough of that going around.
Juice the orange straight into a large saucepan. Yes, directly. Efficiency is key — The Wingman would never waste time on extra dishes.
Now, make the move. Add the apple cider, Wingman, honey, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise. Add four of those orange peels. Save the rest for your garnish.
Bring the whole thing to a boil. The scent may alert nosy neighbors or judgmental in-laws — ignore them. Lower the heat and let it simmer for ten minutes.
Strain into heatproof glasses or mugs. Garnish with an orange peel, raise a toast to surviving the season, and sip proudly — you’re officially making the nice list (and maybe the naughty one, too).
